Hanging with Glen Beck!!

So we had a pretty special day on Saturday. Justice and Austin got to go meet Glen Beck at a press release at the Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff and Glen are good griends and the Sheriff asked him to come speak at the DARE Graduation. DARE is Drug Awareness Resistance Education, the sheriff pretty much started the program for Madison County, and so he is a big DARE guru! It was pretty exciting for Justice and Austin to go get pics taken with Glen. He spoke at the graduation about his experiences with an alcohol addiction, and what he did to get better and his advice to the kids, he did a really job. It was a great experience for the kids and all who attended. I was jealous, I really wanted to go get pics with Glen, but I had to go save seats so we could get good pictures. Next time he is town I will get to go meet him. He visits Rexburg often, his daughter is attending BYU-Idaho, and he really wants to move here. He really likes it here, maybe we could convince him to buy our humble little home, so he blends in well!! HA HA

My kids are getting big too fast!!

Okay so the last few days, Kason has just been letting go of things and standing by himself. You can tell he wants to move his legs and start walking, he is just not balanced enough or strong enough. I really don't want him to start walking yet!! Ryley got his hair cut today, he looks like a big boy with a nice tight cut!! Today Karli was sent to her room for being naughty, and she comes up the steps and shows me a picture she drew of me with a big X through it. She said showing me the picture " this is you mom". I laughed, but she still had to go sit in her room!! Kids you got to love them!! Saturday I took ALL the kids to the mall to go Easter clothes shopping, HUGE mistake!! Kason is peacefully sleeping in his stroller, Austin is maning the stroller, Justice is looking for a dress and Karli and Ryley are destroying every clothes rack, and Ethan is tormenting everyone!! Well it gets quiet, and I think where is Ryley? We go searching for Ryley, and panic slowly begins to settle in my heart and stomach, when I tell a JCPenney employee I have a lost child. She asks me what he is wearing, which instantly tells me they have him because she said HE. I told her, and she says we have him in the offices in the back. They found him outside the mall on the sidewalk screaming for MOM!! Okay, this is not good!! She gets on her walkie talkie and says "I have found the mom." She told me is freaking out in the offices, so as we walk to the back I can hear him screaming bloody murder. Even if he were to be kidnapped, with all his screaming, they would have brought him back!!

Easter is FUN!

Sugar City had the annual easter egg hunt, snow and all this year!! Karli, Ethan and Ryley were the only ones to go this year. Justice was at a friends, and Austin was not interested, so he helped dad babysit Kason. It was so COLD!! Ryley cried the whole time, screaming he wanted to go home. He was among many other screaming kids. Karli and Ethan braved the cold and snow and got lots of eggs. We had to walk on a foot and a half of frozen snow, I thought for sure we would sink, but we stayed above the snow!! Hope everyone had a great Easter Day!!

I am still blogging challenged. Trying to get this all figured out with Travis' help. He thinks I am mentally challenged all together, so teaching me blogging is making his point very clear!! I just learned how to get pics on our family site, so if you want to check them out great!! I generally send out pics by email, so you may have already seen them.
We are all doing well here, and just waiting for the snow to go away. We are grateful for all the moisture but are ready to see some green. Like Tiffani's family we need to get out and see some sunshine! Send some our way!! Of course with the warm weather comes all the spring sports our kids participate in, so ball games here we come!! Pics to come!!
