Mesa Falls Spring Break

I wanted to do something with the kids for thier amazing 3 day Spring Break.  It wasn't too thrilling and we tried to enjoy the outdoors and nice weather we actually were having so early in the year!!  I decided we should head up to Mesa Falls, do some hiking and have a picnic.  Instead.....we sat at a picnic table in the snow and never got to Mesa Falls, the roads were still closed.  BUMMER!!!!  So we tried to enjoy what we could.  We did have our picnic....and the kids invented Walmart bag sledding!   Ethan started it, yep sledding down the hill on a Walmart bag!!  It turned out to be kinda fun.  They had pretty cold bums, and Karli got her foot stuck in the snow.  The stinker was wearing flip-flops....in the snow!!  In her defense, we were not expecting that much snow still!!  All in all we had a nice afternoon together as a family.... We also stopped at the local icecream shop in Ashton for some......nice cold icecream.  Yep, we just didn't have enough cold snow, we needed icecream to complete the day!! Happy Spring Break!!

Easter Egg hunts......

Yes....we had huntS.....we ended up going to 3 Easter Egg hunts!! Yes.....we had snow too!!  It was so cold!  But it wouldn't be Easter in Idaho without snow!!  Our first one was a free community one at World Gym in Rexburg on April 4th!!  It was a crazy one, the first one they had hosted.  But I think the kids had fun...don't know if we will do that one again!!  Our second and third ones were on April 7th at the Sugar City park and in Rexburg at Porter Park.  They were great, and there were tons of kids, but it was so spaced out there was plenty of room for every child.  Kids really enjoyed them, and of course got tons of candy!! (our dentist will get lots of business)  Yay, fun times!!
