Adoption of Layton

The best and most wonderful event that took place in 2011, and we had lots of great happenings, was the adoption of our wonderful son Layton James! We got Layton on March 27, 2011 at about 1:30 in the morning. It was snowing outside and he was only wearing a onesis and snow coat. He was so cute, and you could tell he was wondering where the heck he was at! But he was so content and easy going. We were hoping from day one, he would be with us forever. We have had between 10-15 kids in our home who have been placed in Foster Care, and we have never been so in love with such a little guy! We are truely blessed to have this sweet spirit in our home. We attended a few court dates to get things in line to finally adopt him. On December 15, 2011 we went to our final court date and got the adoption officially done. On December 17, 2011 we were able to have a very sweet experience and have him sealed to our family for "time and all Eternity" and all of my children were able to be present in the sealing room. They all came in the room dressed in white and literally looked like angels. It was so darling to see all my children in the Temple with Travis and I. We had some family and a couple of friends present. Roger & LeAnn, James & Amber, Nantalie and Debbie Kinghorn were able to attend and we greatly appreciate thier support. It was a once in a lifetime experience and we are so blessed and happy to have a knowledge that we are sealed together Forever as Families. We reconize that we are a family in the hereafter, and that "death do us part" is not the end, we are together for "time & all eternity". We get to be families in the Eternities! We love Layton dearly and we are so happy to have added another spirit to our AMAZING family!!

First Date~Winter Ball

Justice turned 16 on December 22, and on December 23 she went on her first official date to the Winter Ball. She went with Gunner Anderson, and they both had a really good time. The girls picked up their dates (it was girls choice dance) around 11:00 to go eat lunch at Fongs, then Travis and I took them shooting for their day date. It was cold, but I think they all had fun shooting a bunch of guns!! After that they took the boys home to get all dressed up for pictures and hanging out. They all had dinner at our house and then more pics and then finally off to the dance. Unfortunetly, Gunner was not feeling well all day from eating at Fongs, so he ended up going home a little early. Poor Guy!! All in all I think they all had a good time and have great memories!!

Surprise Party

I planned a surprise party for Justice, with the help of her best friend, Mercedes!! It went well, she had to cheer at a game and I had Mercedes tell all the friends to come over to our house straight after the game. I knew Justice would try to make plans with friends so they just told her they couldn't do anything!! We stalled and drove around, then when we got home Justice went right downstairs and her friends jumped out and threw confetti and yelled "surprise"! It was pretty fun!!

Justice's 16th Birthday!!!

December 22 was Justice's 16th birthday!! Yay!! Finally 16 to date and drive!! She has been waiting 16 years for this day! HA!! She had a pretty good day....slept in and then went to lunch with mom and dad. Picked up her dress for the Winter Ball, had birthday cake and presents with her family. Then she was off to the Boys Basketball game to cheer!! Luckily she had her mom and dad there to make sure the whole school knew it was her special day! I had Mr. Luke, the Athletic Director announce it was her birthday, and then I ran some balloons out to her after the cheerleaders performed!! It was a great moment to put her on the spot!! Happy Birthday!!!

Okay so this was so hard to decide on the pics to post! We had so many great moments and loved watching kids open up gifts. We were very blessed with very nice things and had a good time together!! After opening gifts we ate a delcious pancake, eggs, bacon and orange juice breakfast. Then off to church for sacrament meeting! It was a great day spent watching movies, fixing dinner and playing with new things!! Great Christmas 2011!!

School Christmas Program

Every year is also the famous Central Elementary Christmas Program. We have been to several of these over the years! Karli and Ryley did a great job singing and dancing with thier classmates. It was fun to see them perform and then after they got to go sit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. It was a fun evening....even on the back braking bleachers!!

For a several years now the football team does a fundraiser and has "Breakfast with Santa". We eat yummy pancakes, eggs, sausage and milk. Then the kids go sit on Santa's lap and tell him all the things they want for Christmas!! It is a fun activity to do with the kids, and get breakfast!!

On December 10th, Justice and her cheerleading squad sang Christmas carols at an outdoor shopping center. They did a great job and sounded beautiful. The shopping center is called Hemmingway Village, they had hot chocolate, cookies, Santa, horse carriage rides and photo booth! So while Justice was singing, I took the kids to go get a carriage ride. It was a fun afternoon.

Ethan played football again this year and LOVED it! Travis got to coach Defense and had fun watching the boys play and get excited for the game! Ethan made alot of touchdowns and made some fantastic tackles!! Good Job Ethan!!

Ethan did a great job on a science project, an edible plant cell. Layton knows how to eat chocolate...! Justice and her friends were bored and went with a wild hair style to fix the boredom!! School has begun....getting up early, homework, reading, and searching for shoes!! Kids are ready with new clothes, shoes and school supplies!! Justice is a Sophomore, Austin is in 7th grade, Ethan in 5th grade, Karli in 3rd grade, Ryley in 1st grade and Kason in preschool!! Yeah so exciting! Layton gets to stay home with mommy!! Luckily all of the kids do very well in school and enjoy going, for the most part!!

Okay so the day before school started the kids begged me to go swimming!! They really wanted to go the sand bar in St. Anthony, afterall it was the last day of summer, and school was going to start...we had to have one last day of fun!! So went.....well all was going well and kids were having fun, we even brought our puppy Thor to come play too!! Then Ethan comes running up to me with his face and hands covered in blood, spitting at me "my teeth are knocked out". I have him show me, and sure enough he is missing teeth.....I yell at everyone to get in the car we gotta go NOW!! So we load everything up and I call our dentist, who is also our next door neighbor and let him know we are coming in with an emergency!!

We get there and they start numbing him up with some shots and take a few x-rays to figure out how much damage has been done. His teeth are completely knocked loose and they are hoping to save them. They did a splint and formed some fake teeth, like a crown and then glued a metal wire across the front to support them more!! We are waiting to see if they will retake and be okay without having to have them pulled completely! 12 days later they removed the wire off the front and we are still waiting. It will be 3 months or more till they know if his teeth will survive!! He was pretty sore for a few days, and talked with a lisp for several days. It drove us crazy to hear his funny voice with this lisp. Thankfully he talking normal now!! Here are some pics to show you the damage!!

I am a looser mother and have not even posted pics from Ryley's birthday!! His birthday was August 3rd, and it was a fun day for him!! He turned the big 6 and had several friends over for a party!! They came dressed for some water fun, they played with water guns, water balloons and jumped on the tramp with the sprinkler spraying them!! Then icecream cake and presents!! We love Ryley dearly, and know he had a great day with his friends. We are so glad to have Ryley in our family!! Sorry I am just now posting his birthday pics over a month late!!

Wow....we have had a great summer and have done lots of fun things and been with great friends! Here are some pics from the 4th of July parade, a bar-b-que/water fight at the Cleverley's and with the Yardley's. I think this might have to be an annual event!! Ryley played T-ball and had a great time!! He played well and learned lots, he wants to do it again next year and also play flag football!! He will be a busy sports guy!!

Karli was baptized by her dad on June 25, 2011 at the Sugar City Stake center. She was very excited and so happy to have so many friends and family there supporting her. It was a special day and Karli was glowing as new member of the church!! Afterwards we had a great dinner with Grandma & Grandpa Wolfe, Grandma & Grandpa Williams, James & Amber, Christian, Taylor and Averi, and Nantalie!! It was a great day!! We are proud of Karli and love her dearly!

So I am still trying to get caught up on my blog from when my parents where here in June for my sister's wedding and visiting us!! We were busy everyday and really had a wonderful time while there were here, wish they could have stayed longer!! We went to Cress Creek for a short hike, the Idaho Museum Bodies exhibit, t-ball games, movie, and lots of hangin' around, Grandpa's birthday and Karli's baptism. I won't type too much, I really want to get the photos on and it will tell you we had F-U-N!!

Our sweet baby Kason turned the big 4, and enjoyed a fun day!! He played at the park with his big brother Austin and then home for a family birthday party!! He did not have the traditional birthday cake, he LOVES FatBoys, icecream sandwiches. So we put his 4 candles in a FatBoy and it was great!!! We love Kason so much and we are so glad to have him in our family, he is wonderful and a caring little boy!! Happy Birthday!!

Once again I have fallen victim to "Procrastination" and am behind in posting on my blog. At the same token we have been doing lots, and have been having so much fun that I just have had no time to post. Okay....a little putting it off!! We have had a wonderful month of June and July has started off busy, hot and busy!!!!

June 18th my sister Jennifer got married to Lowell. We went to the wedding in Brighton, Utah and it was interesting, hectic, drama, panic and beautiful!! That day my whole family met at Liberty park to take some pics and figure out the day, Jennifer had her hair appointment. So the rest of us went to lunch!! We forgot that in Utah, a business could be 5-7 miles away but it takes you 20 minutes to get there. Ridiculous, but expected in a large city. We had planned to be up at Brighton by 3:30 to chill and get all dolled for the wedding. Um....NO!! We rushed to lunch, rushed back to hotel to get changed, rushed to get to up to the wedding........ALERT! We left the kids church shoes at Travis' parents house!! Karli is the flower girl and has NO freaking shoes!! I am freaking out, panicing....we have one hour and have no clue where to go buy new shoes......one hour in SLC is impossible and then to get up to the wedding, which is clear up in the mountains at the ski resort!!! We call Jennifer, and ask "so are you okay with having a bare foot flower girl"!!! Her friend luckily helped us on her GPS to find a Shopko with a Payless shoes store. We broke every law of the road and prayed we would not get pulled over, found Shopko and I litterally ran in grabbed 3 pairs of kids church of shoes for Karli, Ryley and Kason, paid for them and got back to the car in 4, yes 4 minutes!!!! And I stopped to go potty....in 4 minutes!!!! We raced like crazy to get up to Brighton, Karli and I are changing in the car as Travis is driving. Doing makeup and freaking out!!! We make it up there with 5 minutes to spare!!!!!! Well had I known this was NOT a start on time wedding, we would have used the 40 minutes waiting for the Bride..to do Karli's hair and relax a little!!!!!
Despite the stress and panic it was a great wedding and Jennifer was beautiful and everything worked out well....not how planned, but it was great!! So here are pics of Jennifer and Lowell's wedding!!!

Wahoo!! Birthday time again, Karli had a great day with lots of friends and fun!!! She had a birthday party Saturday, it began with homemade pizza and then a trip to FatCats to go bowling!! They had lots of fun!! Then we returned home for cake, cookie dough icecream and presents!! Karli got lots of wonderful things and has great friends!! The day did not end, for her!! Karli went to her friend Nicole's house for 4-wheeling, and tons more fun!! We are so glad we have Karli in our family and love her very much!! Happy Birthday!!

We have had lots going on and I am behind on getting things posted, so here are the latest of things that have gone on this month of May!! Austin and Ethan were in a Math Bowl for thier school. Austin was one of 3 students chosen from the 6th grade, and Ethan was one of 3 chosen from the 4th grade to participate in the Bowl. They both did great, and were pretty nervous!! Ethan got 2nd place!! And Austin had every problem right, he got out based on a label. He forgot to label the answer in quarts. Both did an amazing job, and we are so proud of them!! Ethan had a school program and Ryley also had a Kindergarten program!! They both sang very well and did a great job!!

Travis is apparently good at fixing bikes, and should open a bike shop!! So cute all the little boys crowded around as he was fixing all the issues with everyones bikes!!

Nothing says a band like 2 boys and some pots and pans.....and lots of noise!! Layton and Kason had fun, and it was cute!

Layton got into a paint can in the laundry room!! He was covered with brown paint, and then crawled down the hall, Travis picked him up and thought he was covered in poop...but no, it was worse...paint!! I hurry and got Layton washed up so the paint did not dry to him. We didn't get a pic of it all over him. Then we scrubbed the wood floor to get all the paint off!!

Travis had his birthday the big 41!! We are so glad we have Travis as our dad and hubby!! He is great and we love him dearly!!

Monday night I had to work, so Travis took care of Family Home Evening!! He is the best dad/husband EVER!!!! So when I came home Travis and the kids were just about finished. He pulls out his phone and shows me the funniest video!! I laughed so hard, and I wanted to cry, it was so cute and I just love my kids. Anyways.....here it is!!!!

New addition to our home!

On March 27th we got called to take a 10 month old baby boy into foster care, he came to us at 2:00 in the morning, it was snowing and all he had on was a t-shirt, diaper and coat. His name is Rylee, he was so cute and scared, I stayed up with him till about 3:00am and then gave him a bath and put on a t-shirt of Kasons and rocked him to sleep. He slept till 11:oo, and the kids loved waking up to a new baby in the house. They couldn't wait for him to wake up so they could see him. I went to Walmart that morning to buy him some clothes, diapers and wipes. He only came with 4 diapers.

His parents were arrested in Island Park for drugs, they got out of jail, about 2 weeks ago and just left him. Never came to see him and have not called to see how he is!! The case worker went to court and the judge said this was aggravated abandonment. Court is scheduled again for May which is a Shelter Care hearing, if no family contacts or claims Rylee, a permanency plan will begin. We are really hoping to adopt him, though it is still very early in the process. I believe they give the parents around 6 months, or family to begin working a case plan. If no one wants him, then rights will be terminated and we will be able to adopt him. We will hope for the best and expect the worse. We love him dearly and will be heart broken if he leaves us!!

Water Dragon

Travis brought home a creature that kids, well Austin and Ethan have been wanting for a long time!! A lizard thing.......Water Dragon is the official name for him. The boys are just loving him and think he is the coolest thing. We have an aquarium for him and he loves to eat crickets or veggies.....especially green beans. He really is a beautiful creature, but even prettier in his cage!!!

State Cheerleading Competition in Boise

March 18th and 19th the cheerleaders traveled to Boise to be in the competition for State!! It was such a fun weekend, Travis & I were so glad to have had the opportunity to go and watch Justice and her team perform!! The did a great job!! They won first place in the Show Cheer division!!! The Friday they went down they went to the mall first to do some shopping and then they all went out to dinner and then swimming that evening!! They had all get up early to be at the competition by 6:15am on Saturday!!! They did a wonderful job and we had so much fun watching them and we are so proud of Justice and the whole cheer team!!

Geesh, I am terrible, I thought I had already posted these pics of Austin's Birthday!! I am a slacker I guess, sorry!! Austin had his birthday on March 2nd, and he had a fun day!! I brought doughnuts for his class that afternoon and then he got to go with his dad to shop for a new snowboard!! Some of his friends came over that evening and we had a good time eating a Chocolate Extreme Blizzard cake and opening presents!! It was a fun day!! We are so glad to have Austin in our family and love him so very much, he is a good example to us and has a very tender heart!! We love you Austin!! Happy Birthday!!

Travis comes home from work for lunch the other day and asks "who did the lovely artwork on the walls?" I was clueless on what he was talking about, until he showed me the art on our walls downstairs....Um...Kason....where are you? Kason has been really into drawing on the walls lately, so we figured this was his newest masterpiece!! He was grounded to his room for a little while...not long he is too cute!! I am guessing someday, I will miss this, but for now I am not!!

Cheer competition in Idaho Falls

Saturday February 26th, Justice had another cheer competition in Idaho Falls. This competition was the qualifying one for State competition!! The cheer team did great, they placed 2nd in everything, I am biased, they should have gotten 1st!! Only first and second place winners qualified for State, so we were all happy they made it there, but were a bit shocked they did not get first in something!! They were so very good!!

The boys, Austin & Ethan have picked up a new hobby of snowboarding!! They love, love, love it!!! Our school district does a 4 week ski school program that the kids get to ride a bus up to Kelly Canyon after school on Fridays from 4-8 and then ride back home on the bus and meet at the school for parents to pick up. They rent the equipment and get a snowboard lesson each time and then have a few hours of free time to snowboard or ski!! Again, they love, love, love it!!! I went up one day with them and stayed longer with them to get a couple more hours in of fun!! I took pictures and video and then brought them and some friends back to our house for a sleepover!! They had so much fun!! Now of course they are addicted and snowboard junkies!!

Pinewood Derby!!

Ethan did a great job on his pinewood derby car!! The Derby was on Jan. 18th and it was a fun evening to race cars and see the hard work the boys put into making their cars!! The boys had fun racing the cars and we had fun watching!! Lots of excitement!!

January is generally a slow and depressing month....well not for us!! We have been busy all ready with some fun things and kids are staying busy and of course keeping mom busy!! It has been great!! Justice had a cheer competition in Pocatello and they did so good. She had to get up early and be ready to go down on the bus with the other cheer leaders. I came down to watch her and her friends, and they were GREAT!!! They won first place on thier Group stunt cheer, they were so good!! Afterwards Justice and I went to lunch and then headed to Idaho Falls to the mall and did a little shopping, a great girls day out!!

Happy Birthday to our beautiful and wonderful Justice!! Hard to believe she is 15, my baby girl is growing up!! She had a super fun day.....being the last day before Christmas break the whole High School went to Fat Cats, a bowling, movie, arcade, golf place to hang out for a couple of hours and then off to a amazing pizza place called Craigos!! While at FatCats I delivered a bunch of balloons to her!! After they all got back from pizza and fun, she and I headed to Idaho Falls for some lunch together and shopping!! A girl has gotta shop on her birhtday!! It was a fun day!! Then Justice had to go cheer at a basketball game. I had Mr. Luke the director announce her birthday and make her stand up! She was embarressed, but loved the attention!! We love Justice!! Happy Birthday!!

The kids are extremely lucky....Santa made a special visit to our house to see the kids!! The kids were playing downstairs with some neighbor friends, when a knock at the door and who should it be!! Yes....SANTA!! He was amazing and so happy to see everyone!!! Mom even gave him a hug!! He came inside and sat with each of the kids to ask what they wanted from the North Pole, Christmas Eve night!!! We took pictures with Santa and had lots of laughs!! Travis did a fun project with the kids the Sunday before Halloween!! I took a wonderful nap!! I have a great hubby!! The kids loved getting sticky and putting together this fun house! They really loved decorating it with candy and frosting! Way to go DAD!!

Ethan had a school science project and had to show the planets in some sort of creative way. He chose to do a cake with sour balls on it!! We had fun making the cake....we didn't eat it. He shared with friends at school!!

Poor Ryley was bitten on the face by a neighbors dog!! We had to take him in to the doctors to get checked to see if he needed stitches or not, luckily not!! He was very brave as they cleaned it off and put some antibacterial cream on it. Travis' asked him if he was scared of dogs now, but Ryley said no!! He is brave and tough!!

August~Back to School, Football & Cheerleading

What an awesome summer!! Hard to believe it is time to get back to the books!! We had such a great summer with friends and family, but all things must come to an end. Kids did some shopping while in Utah for thier back to school clothes, so they were all decked out with thier new clothes for the first day of school!! So cute!! Justice is starting High School.....oh no!!! Where has my baby gone!! She is getting all grown up!! Austin is in 6th grade, and Ethan is in 4th both at the same middle school!! Karli is in 2nd grade and my smiley Ryley is in Kindergarten!! So I am down to one at home, all though Ryley only goes half day!! Kason is starting preschool at the college!! In fact all 6 of my kids have attended the preschool program up there and have loved it!! My kids are getting so big!! Football has been great Austin and Ethan played this season, it was a challenge to get to all the games, but it was great watching them!! Justice is busy again this year with Cheerleading, and even Karli is getting into it! The High School cheerleaders held a cheer camp for 3 days afterschool for the elementary and middle school kids! Karli loved it!!

We spent a couple of days in Utah with the entire Williams family!! There were lots of us and we had a good time catching up with each other and seeing all the neices and nephews!! It was a good reunion!!

I am so behind, I feel so overwhelmed. I hope I can get caught up before the end of the year. I really do love blogging, and feel it is a journal of some sorts. I am HORRIBLE at writing in a actual journal, so I hope to get moments and pictures in this blog recorded for memories in the future. I have lots to catch up on, and lots of pictures to add. I haven't stopped taking the pictures, just haven't been very good at getting them on this blog or Facebook. I love taking pictures, and get this need to take pictures from my Grandma Wolfe. We teased and joked that she always had the camera out, and of course at meal times when we were shoveling a fork full of food in our mouths. I love my Grandma Wolfe for being so good at taking family pictures and she was so organized to get them in a photo album, dated and labeled with names and the event. She was such a good example to me, and I miss her very much!!
So to get caught up, I will start with my parents coming out here to Idaho for a week in August to spend time with us and be with the kids. I am grateful for my parents and all their support and love and the time they take to fly out to see us. We had so much fun with them here and good weather to do outdoor things. We rented a cabin in Island Park for 3 days, August 2,3 & 4th, it was a beautiful cabin and we really enjoyed staying there. We rented some float tubes and a raft to float down the river. We started out about 10:00am, and it took us 4 hours to float, the very cold water. We switched around from tubes to the raft, we had so much fun and the kids just loved it. Towards the end, Grandpa, Justice and Karli saw a mamma moose and her baby. We saw lots of interesting birds and lots of fish. We had a great time floating the river, and we were glad to reach the end to warm up and eat!!!!

Okay, so I am playing catch up AGAIN!! Better late than never.... I hope!! We have had lots going on so here is a quick run down and some pics to see. I had a good Mother's Day and loved all the things the kids made for me at school and at church. Shaylyn and I got to celebrate together, Travis got us a yummy Diary Queen icecream cake!! Ethan had his birthday on May 11, he had a pretty good day, even though he was home sick with a terrible cough. Despite the illness he had fun turning 9!! He had a Diary Queen cake also, so lots of icecream for us!! Over the past weekend (May 14-16) we all went to Utah!! The kids stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Williams while Travis and I left for a couple of days to get a break from all the chaos 8 kids can create!! The kids had a fun time riding a horse that belonged to a friend of Grandmas and going on a picnic to the park!! Travis and I had a nice time shopping, eating, movie watching and miniature golfing!! Thanks to Mom and Dad for the break!! Last but not least Travis turned the big 4-0 today!! He is a great dad and husband and we love him so very much!! We are so blessed with such amazing family and friends and of course the chaos of 8 kids!! We love them all!!

We have been doing lots since my last post!! Justice has started club volleyball and is enjoying playing and being with her friends!! Austin was chosen to display his artwork at the Art Museum in Idaho Falls, they are doing a Youth Exhibit. Saturday we went down to see his artwork, he was given a certificate and did a sand art project while there. Ethan came with us for the day, so it was a mother/son outing!! We are so proud of Austin!!

Ethan's first Pinewood Derby was fun!! As usual it was a last minute race to the get the car finished, especially since we had a late start. But Travis and Ethan pulled it off and he made a great car. It was so great it won pretty much every race and therefore he got 1st place!! Way to go Ethan!!

Ethan's 3 rd grade class had a talent show...it was so fun!! They did a few songs at first then each child preformed a talent. Some were wrestling moves, dancing, gymnastics, piano solos and remote control car tricks. Ethan was the remote control car tricks kid, he did great and the rest of the class thought it was so cool. He was pretty proud of his amazing car. At the end the students passed out refreshments to thier parents. I love Ethan's teacher, she is so emotional about how much she loves her students and really teaches them respect for others and caring for others. She is amazing!! I am working with Kason to get the potty thing going!! So far he has been doing great, though I know we are bound to have some wet puddles!! He is loving it, and thinks he is so big like his big brothers and Daisy. Yes, he thinks he goes potty like the dog...I send her outside and say "go potty", so now it is "Kason do you need to go potty?" about every half hour. He is so proud of his Cars underwear and likes to run around in them. Too cute!! Here are some pics of which I could use for blackmail someday!!

I really wanted to post at least something each month, but the first month of this year has already slipped me by. So I will post twice this month instead. We had a great January 2010 and were busy as usual!! Lots of cheering, scouts, sledding, church activities, work, play and family moments!! I have some random pics to post, nothing in particular went on, just fun pics to see the many personalities we are so blessed to have in our home!! We have lots planned in February already, so hopefully it will not get away from me like January!! I didn't bother to set any "new years resolutions" since they never really get done and just get pushed till the next year, so I am just hoping to improve on last year, more blogging, more scrapbooking, more family time, strengthening my testimony as well as my childrens, more room for the Savior and to be strong and courageous in my endeavors!!

We had a wonderful Christmas day and Santa definetly came to our house!! We were spoiled again!! It was a remote control car Christmas!! All the boys got cars, and Austin and Ethan got the most amazing cars that really go fast!! Even Travis is jealous, and wants one. Maybe for his birthday!! :) Grandma Wolfe got all the kids new pajama's, so it was a pajama Christmas also!! I know I am so behind on posting on our family blog. I don't want to end this year with not posting our latest updates and pics of the kids. We have been so busy, and my camera broke, so I haven't been able to take many pics the last few months. Travis, my wonderful sweetie, got me a new camera for my birthday. So I have taken lots of pics the past month. Thank goodness!!!! I love taking pics and love looking at my darling family!!

Since I left off with the first day of school, I will try to fill in some missing pieces of what we have been up too!!! School has been going great for the kids, they love thier teachers and love being with thier friends. Justice is still doing cheerleading and really loves it!! She is doing great in school, a requirement to keep cheering, mom and dads rule!! She is just got her hair highlighted, she is definetly a teenager, and becoming high maitenance. Good thing she babysits to earn money!! HA!! Austin is doing great in school, his football team had a fabulous season, 6-0!! He loved every minute of it and is looking forward to playing next year. He is doing great in Scouts, and loves keeping busy with projects he can be creative with and work with his hands. He is a great big brother and oldest son. He really works hard and is so helpful with outdoor chores and mowing the lawn. We finished the room downstairs, it is officially Austins room and it is decked out in Cowboy football gear!! He loves having his own room!! Ethan also doing great in school, enjoys football also, and I think wants to play next year. He is still figuring out what he likes, not always wanting to do everything just like is big brother. We are planning on working on his room next, he hasn't decided what he wants to do. We will keep you posted on that. Ethan still loves to clean and always has the cleanest room in the house. If you need something cleaned or picked up, you can totally count on Ethan to get it done!! Karli is enjoying school all day as a 1st grader, I can tell somedays, she is tired from it. She loves to play with animals, and being a puppy herself. She also loves to color and do art projects, she is lot like Austin in that way. Karli is becoming more and more independent, and insists on doing it her way and by herself. She is a very smart girl!! Ryley has been attending preschool at the college and really loved going!! He had some interesting comments driving to school or really anytime, he is a funny little guy. He likes to play with friends, and is already anxious for summer. He has all kinds of plans he want to do. It is going to be a long winter for him. Kason is busy as ever!!! That boy can climb and make a mess faster than you can say "mess"!! He is VERY stubborn and determined to do it his way as well, oh....yeah....he's 2!!! He is very sweet, and loving and has learned to climb out of his crib, so in a regular bed he goes. No more baby!!

Most of you already know we recently got 3 foster kids, one went home after a month with us. We still have Shaylynn and Chesney, and are enjoying them being here. It has definetly been an adjustment for us getting a teenager and tiny baby all in one night. Things are going well and we will be having them through Christmas. After that point we really don't know how long they will be with us. Needless to say we have been so VERY busy here!! I am hoping I can be more diligent in posting regular updates. I have really missed blogging!! Okay some pics now!!

Back to School

WoW!! August went so fast, in fact, the whole summer just flew by. So now we are back to the books! Kids are glad to be back in school, no more "I'm bored". They all like thier teachers and have some friends in thier classes. Karli even got Justice's 1st grade teacher, so we know her fairly well. Plus she is the Stake Primary president. That is the nice thing about being Sugar, pretty much all the teachers are LDS, and lots of them are return missionaries, and we see them at the temple. So it rocks to be here.....the sweetest town on earth!! First day of school was a nervous and excited filled morning. I got the kids fresh cinnamon rolls, from of course, Deseret Book. So warm cinnamon rolls and orange juice for a great first day back to school. UUUHHG,,, no body could eat them, they were too excited and nervous for school. So they made great after school snacks, I had great intentions. Pics to see the kids on thier first day!! The day would not be complete without Ryley and Kason having thier backpacks and looking ready for school. Ryley will be attending the BYU-I preschool in a couple of weeks, he is so excited and anxious to get goin'!!

We had an amazing day at the aquarium with grandpa and uncle Harold. We enjoyed seeing all the beautiful creatures, eating lunch in the cafeteria and watching the dolphin show. As we were watching the show I told Karli she could be a dolphin trainer and work at the aquarium, and how exciting that would be. Ryley pipes in "can boys be dolphin trainers?" So cute, of course boys can, I told him. They were totally amazed at the show, even Kason's eyes were glued to the show, and he was clapping. It was a great show, wish it was longer!!

So our trip begins on May 30th at 4:45 in the morning. It was a crazy first day, but we all survived. I am trying to keep up with all the activities and outings of our adventure. We finally arrived to my parents house on June 1st. It was a long drive but all 8 of us made it!! The first night we got there the kids found a turtle, and later that evening a frog. We will have plenty of frog pics later!! We were so glad to be there, Grandma even had a scavenger hunt for the kids to do. They needed some running around time, and it was a great opportunity to stretch thier legs and play a fun activity!!

My mom is the best when is comes to kids activities, she is a art person herself, so crafts are a must at her house. She has tons for the kids to do. Austin of course loves any opportunity to do a craft and build something. So the big craft day was creating a gnome garden, they glued moss to the bird houses, frogs, bark, flowers and made a fence out of tongue depressors. They had the best time and it was quite the mess.

We had lots of fun checking out history in Williamsburg and Jamestown, but the kids definetly enjoyed the beach the most. We had a great time catching waves, eating snacks, playing in the sand and bathing in the sunshine.

Ethan has been waiting till our trip to Virginia to get baptized with his Grandma and Grandpa Wolfe, and so we finally had his big day. He was baptized on June 13, 2009. It was a very nice day and we had a strong spirit present. We are proud of Ethan's choice to be baptized and the opportunity to do it with my parents.

We are having a great time in Virginia visiting my parents, and Karli gets to celebrate her birthday with Grandma and Grandpa Wolfe. We started the day going to Chuck E Cheese, eating pizza, playing games and having fun. Next Grandpa took Justice, Austin and Ethan to see a movie, Star Trek, then Grandma took Karli and Ryley to see the movie "Up"! They all loved going to the movies!! Then we all came home to eat dinner, and continue to celebrate with yummy homemade icecream cake and hot fudge sauce!! Karli had a fantastic day, was totally spoiled and loved every moment!! Monday was Ethan's birthday, the big 8!! We had a small party for him on Sunday, with Grandma & Grandpa Williams and Grandma & Grandpa Wolfe, and Aunt Jennifer in Salt Lake. So alot has been going on this past week or so!! I went down with the kids to Salt Lake, for my sister, Jennifer's graduation. My parents flew out to see her and us!! So I have added some pics of some of the things we did over the weekend. We got to go to an exhibit at the University of Utah about frogs!! We had a lot of fun and got to see some very interesting little creatures. Ethan and Karli got to help feed the frogs, they enjoyed being little helpers. We had a really fun weekend. It was especially fun 'cause we got to be both sets of grandparents at the same time. The kids were a little confused on the whole relationship thing, but I think have it all figured out now. We had a great time staying at Grandma & Grandpa Williams' house, playing with everyone, eating, and doing some activities. It was a great Mother's Day to be with both my moms on a special day!! Last Saturday, April 25th, the Young Women in our ward did a fundraiser for girls camp and had a photographer come do family portraits. So we did that, since we have not had a family photo taken since Ryley was 18 months old. We obviously have had another baby since then and needed to get a complete family picture updated with everyone. We really loved our pictures, we had some of just the kids and of Travis and I also. I will get those posted soon, sorry for the blue line down the middle. We had to use the scanner at Travis' office, and it apparently has an issue. So it was the best we could do. We got a great big print to hang in our house, we are so blessed and grateful for a our wonderful and beautiful family!! I loved our bare feet!!

Funny night humor!!

The other night Karli came to my side of the bed to ask if she could sleep with me. I told her no, since Kason was already in my bed. She cried, so I told her to get in bed with Ryley. They share a bunk bed, since she is scared and won't sleep in her own room. She tried to wake up Ryley but he is a pretty sound sleeper, so she could not get him to budge. Karli wanted him to climb up to her bed, and he just could not wake up. She got in her bed and cried a little and kept begging Ryley to come get in her bed, she said " I am scared", "Ryley, I am scared". So cute, his very sleepy voice says to her " it's just your imagination"!! She just cried more, and finally fell asleep. I of course over heard all of this and was just laughing, trying to not shake the bed to wake up Kason. You could tell that was not the answer Karli was looking for, aparently no one was very sympathetic to her need for someone to sleep with her. I just laughed!! So dang funny!!

Ryley Day!!

Wow are kids exciting are what!!?? In church Sunday, during Sunday school, the Primary President interupted and needed to speak to me, I stepped out in the hall. She then went on explaining that Ryley stuck a B.B up his nose!! SAY WHAT??!! I had to have her repeat this, since I was stunned as to how he got a B.B up his nose! Ryley said he didn't know what to do with it, so he decided to stick it up his nose. I tried to get him to blow his nose, while I held the nostrile without the B.B closed, he did not get this concept and just blew out his mouth. So we started walking home to get a pair of tweezers for me to get it out. As we were walking across the lawn, he laughed and blew it out!! He was so excited, he said "mom it came out in the grass!" So we turned around and went back to church!!
Later that evening, it was awfully quiet, and I wondered where Ryley was. So I went upstairs to see where he was at, I walked into my room and he popped out of my closet. I noticed a perfumey smell, I reconized it as some hand lotion from my purse. He had been in my closet smearing lotion all over my shoes, carpet and an old computer we had set in there. I was beside myself, I don't understand the desire to do that. I don't even know how to punish for that, other than he went to his room for a little while. A few moments later I saw a brand new tube of anti-itch benyadral cream all squeezed out all over my carpet and a stuffed animal. WHAT THE HAY!! What is wrong with this child, what on earth is so fun with that, and do you not think, geez my mom will be dang mad at me!! I guess NOT!!
So needless to say, it was a day of Ryley is driving me nuts day!!

Last night was Austin's PineWood Derby at the church. We had fun attending and seeing everyone's cars, the boys were of course very anxious to get racing!! Making the car was a little troublesome, but Travis will stick to his story that is was all under control. It was definetly crunch time at 10 minutes till race time we had some malfunctioning. In the end, it was a great and fun experience. I am glad it is over with though!! Next year we will have two boys doing cars, we will have double crunch time I am sure!!

Another painting project!! Justice and Travis have been painting her room. She has been waiting forever, and now it is getting done. She picked the colors and now the mess has begun! She is really excited for it to be all finished, and we will get some pics when the project is complete. She chose yellow, with lime green and blue dots. Sounds crazy but I think it will turn out to be really fun, just in time for Spring!!

Well, another year of the City Easter Egg Hunt in Sugar City. Ethan, Karli, Ryley and Kason went to get thier fun eggs and prizes. Austin and Justice are of course too old!! Luckily we had beautiful weather this year, last year we had snow drifts and it was freezing. So it was nice to get out and enjoy the day. Here are some pics of the fun!!

So I have been having some issues with my computer, apparently my cute background page has disappeared. I can't get a new background page to come up. I have tried everything I can think of. So if anyone has a suggestion I could use it!! I usually get my backgrounds from thecutestblogontheblock, but now nothing will appear on my blog!! HELP!!

What we do all day!!

Kason is such a sweetie, but he has a very loud and annoying fetish. HE LOVES THE VACCUM!! What on earth did I do to him in the womb that would cause such a wierd love to the vaccum. Maybe I vaccumed too much? So here is a small clip of Kason vaccuming, he does this all day. Well after about a half hour we just have to turn it off. He cries and cries and has the biggest fit, once he is over it, he pulls me by my finger to the closet where the vaccum is kept and has the cutest grin for me to get it out. He is just precious, but this is so getting old. He got a little dirt devil play vaccum that even makes the sounds, but he so over that and has graduated to the mommy vaccum. I guess I should just enjoy this stage!! AARRGG!!

Okay so I am not very good at journaling like LeAnn, so I am using my blogging as a journal. A really cute moment with Ryley yesterday. We were waiting at the school for kids to come out, and he said "Mom I know who build us", I asked him who, He said " Jesus builded us" , so cute. I love his word "build". He is so funny!
