State Cheer!!!

Headed to Boise for state cheer was a very exciting and stressful!!! The cheerleaders left early in the morning to get to Boise....and the mall!!Travis ended up taking the car in to have tires checked, since they were getting pretty worn and just wanted to make sure it would be safe. Come to find out, the bar that holds the tires on, was in fact broken and they could have come off at any time. So we had to pay $300 dollars to have that fixed, plus new tires put on. Travis and I got the kids settled and then took off to meet Justice. Just as we came off the exit in Boise, our car broke down. A fellow driver, saw we needed to have help pushing our car off the side of the road and so he got out to help Travis, while I steered us over. We ended up calling a tow truck to take us to a Dodge dealership, to find out what now!!! We got a ride to our hotel from another cheerleader's mom. At that point, everyone had eaten already, and we really wanted to go to the Cheesecake Factory, a must when in Boise. So we walked to the restuarant, it was about 2 miles or so. My feet hurt, being I was in heels, so it was nice to sit and relax and eat a wonderful meal. There happen to be another friend eating there and she kindly gave us a ride back to our hotel, thus saving us another long walk.

The next morning was an early one, and time for the competitions to start. We got a ride with more friends to the competitions, and we had a great time!! The girls and boys were amazing and did a great job!! In fact, they were so good.....they won first place and are STATE CHAMPIONS!!!! Wahoo!! It was so wonderful to hear the announcer tell everyone that Sugar-Salem Diggers were 2012 STATE CHAMPIONS!!!! Lots of pictures were taken and lots of cheering!!

As all of this going on, we were keeping tabs on the status of our car. Come to find out the water pump went out, which broke a clutch plate and serpintine belt. It was just a mere $1000 dollar repair!! We just spent the last week repairing things at home, and spent and unexpected $1000. So we were broke!! Had no clue how we were going to pay for repairs, which also we had to stay another night in Boise until the part would arrive from Oregon!!! I called home to my wonderful parents, and they bailed us out and paid for our car!! We had taxes coming back in just a few weeks, and of course these things couldn't wait till then to break!! We had a nice time in Boise, all though some things we would have rather not had happen!! We made it back home to the kiddos!!

I have such wonderful friends, and Chelsey & Ryan Erickson were watching my kids!! They were great, and so willing to have to stay an extra night with them!! Nantalie was great, she watched Kason and Layton and checked in on kids!! Thanks to them for all thier help!!
